My Smart Little Boy!

Jase is growing up so fast. Some days I wish he would just stay a little boy that needs me to hold him in my arms and rock him to sleep. But inevitable he will get bigger and hopefully turn out to be a caring, loving, smart young man. He had his 15 month check up last week and the doctor said he is in the 86% for his weight and 98% for his height. He will surely be a big football player like daddy. The doctor also said that he is advanced on his vocabulary. (He will smart like me!) Here are some of the words he likes to say: mom, dad, dog, what's that, not nice, bana (banana), Jase, Anna (his gf), maw-maw, no, hi, bye, and various other words that he will repeat once or twice after hearing them. I am so proud of him and hope he keeps excelling in life!

Here are some pic of Jasey Pants for you all to enjoy.

In Memory

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow,

I am the sun on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there;

I did not die.

I can't believe it has been 3 years since our friend David passed away. It still hurts as much today as it did the day it happened. David was such a vibrant, loving, caring, smart, amazing person. He was taken before his time. We miss him so much but find comfort in knowing that his spirit is still with us. Hard lesson learned: Value your loved ones when you have the time, you don't know when they will be taken away from you.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you."

Mr. Potato Head

It doesn't take much to figure out who's son this is. His eating habits are a lot like mine. Yes, he is eating a raw potato. As far as I understand, this is not normal, but hey, neither am I.

What Ever!
